York is an historical city with a wealth of interesting buildings, museums and churches including the famous York Minster. Information leaflets on all of these are available.

A walk around the Bar Walls with great views of the city. Walking around the 'Snickelways' (information book available), York Railway Station which is a fine example of Victorian civil engineering and has one of the longest platforms in Europe. Most of these have Pubs and Tea Rooms nearby!
